Insurance & Payment Policy
Insurance and Payments
The Texas Interventional Pain & Spine Specialists accept most major insurance companies, such as Medicare, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, United Health Care, Workers Comp, and Letters of Protection.
Our staff will assist you in understanding your insurance benefits and strive to make our services accessible even if you are out of network; for this purpose, we now provide payment options. You must pay all co-pays, deductibles and private payments at check-in.
As a courtesy, we will submit claims to all insurance types, third parties, letters of protection, Work Comp, and automobile claims. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
What insurances do we accept?
Texas Interventional Pain & Spine Specialists recognize a variety of insurance plans, such as government-sponsored and commercial insurance. The list of accepted insurance may vary depending on the location and provider.
In addition, we may accept certain medical liens and other insurance companies on a case-by-case basis. If your insurance provider is not listed above, don’t hesitate to contact our scheduling team at (361) 360-3264 for more information. Our staff will take the time to explain your insurance coverage to you, which may involve out-of-network benefits. We will work with you to establish a plan to make it financially feasible to use our services if you are out of network.

If you do not see your insurance company listed, it does not mean we can not see you. Please call our office for further information at (361) 360-3264.
We are currently in the process of completing contracts with a few insurance payers. While we are completing this process, you may receive letters from your insurance provider saying that we are out of network, that you may have to pay out-of-network fees, or that you may not get to see your provider anymore. This is TEMPORARY while we get contracted. You CAN still see our providers! We have historically been considered a “top-tier” provider by these same insurance plans, so hang in there with us as we go through this process quickly. In the meantime, Texas Interventional Pain & Spine Specialists (TIPSS) will absorb and cover out-of-network charges that exceed in-network charges for all office visits and in-office testing. Please note this does not include any lab work or procedures performed off-site.
